Breonna Taylor was a 26 years old when her life was taken by Louisville Metro Police Department. She didn’t deserve to die this way.

Frankly, I avoid the news. There is always something that reinforces the concept that there is a target on my back. Constant videos of murdered black bodies on repeat.

If you look away, you don’t care. If you watch them all, you will go crazy. It will drive you into utter insanity.

And perhaps, that is the intention.

Breonna Taylor was a 26 year old woman who was figuring out who she was and what she wanted. She was a mentor to friends and family.

She was loved and cherished. Her murder was an incredible loss to her family, friends, patients, and community.

She leaves a legacy of being a servant to her community.

Continue it. And make it your own.
